ROAD TRIP QUEEN'S INK TO SEE ZANA CLARK

Well I got up at 5:00 am to pickup Bev, Pat and Judy for a road trip to the Queen's Ink in Savage Md. for a class with Stamp Zia's Zana Clark. Now she isn't my cup of tea but the class was AWESOME!! We made a no sew wall hanging. It was the fastest 4 hour class I have ever taken. We all made amazing stuff.

The Queen's Ink is a great store.  The store is nestled in amongst other fun and crafty stores. There is a fabric and quilt store, a bead store, an antique mart and lots of other fun and eclectic type shops.

Patty the owner is a delightful person and made us Northeners welcome. The store has lots of everything and the artwork on display is amazing. The class room is spacious.

Rumor has it that Timmy might be coming to teach. I'm there.

The only glitch in the day was lunch- the worst possible service I have ever had in a restaurant. We waited over a half hour to order then another half hour to get our food. When it did arrive Pat didn't get what she asked for- no apology. Speaking to the manager was useless as I think he was someone they pulled in off the street- this after we waited 15 minutes for him to show up.

But I would not let that make you decide not to go- 'cos the rest of the place was great.

Only took us about an hour and a half to get there.

Jude and I will be planning a road trip in the spring. Patty the owner is planning on making us welcome with demo's make-n-takes refreshments and discount coupons.

Seats will fill up fast so let us know if you are interested!!

Holiday Extravaganza

Hi Everyone!

I thought I would add some more card samples so you would have some more ideas of what to look for at our Holiday Extravaganza coming up on November 1st. Sue and I are so excited to get back into teaching again!

I've been busy these past few months doing some commission work, such as Graduation announcements for four people and I'm in the middle of doing Wedding invitations for my daughter's friend. I'll have to share those with you sometime, I designed eight different choices for her and she was so thrilled and is in the middle of choosing exactly what she wants. I also finished a wonderful 12x12 digital storybook for my father-in-law on his experiences in World War II. I will be bringing some show and tell to the Extravaganza - come see what I've been up to!!!

Good Evening Everyone!!

I thought you would all love to see the true Queen of the Studio- little miss pinkie. I had to move all the paper from her spot and put in her boxie to sleep in. She is nestled in amongst the punches, papers sponges and alcohol inks. She is the most spoiled cat around.

The next picture shows my haul from the scrapbooking yardsale I was at last Saturday. 7 Stampinup sets for $5.00 each!! Enlarge the picture and check out the Santa set. It is to cute!!

I'm really getting the hang of this blogging thing so please keep checking in!
